Welcome to Manierre!
It is with great pleasure and excitement that we welcome you to George Manierre Elementary School. We are a neighborhood school that provides our children with a safe, nurturing environment that is conducive to educational and social growth. The staff at Manierre has developed a strong commitment for working with children in all grades and with all needs. While our school’s focus is math and science, we have also been selected as one of many Chicago Public Schools to receive new reading programs for grades K-8th. Kindergarten through fifth grade received an educational curriculum titled Core Readers. Our sixth through eighth grade students have received an educational curriculum titled Striving Readers. George Manierre Elementary offers many extracurricular activities through after school tutoring programs and sports. We also partner with many organizations outside of the school to provide our parents and students with additional assistance needed to equip our learning community in this ever changing society.
